Stationary is a Brooklyn based project created with the idea of “less-is-more”. Beginning with only bass, drums, and vocals, Paul Vitolins has created a proper musical homage to the 90’s Alt-Rock movement of his youth. His deep, baritone voice often combined with softer, kinder, female vocals give the songs a quirky-yet-accessible sound, still making way for bombastic drums and flailing bass to complete the style.

In constant collaboration with his brother Eriks, Stationary began as a series of demos sent back and forth between the siblings living on either coast. After Paul would write and record the basic tracks, Eriks would step in and steer each song into a unique direction.

The project continues in this way today, and upon the release of their second EP, the brothers have now broadened Stationary’s soundscape to even include...guitar.
